Monumental Musical Mashups…with Muppets

Ce Lo Green delighted the world this past Sunday with a muppet packed performance of Forget You, likely forcing all other artists who performed at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards to wonder, “Damn it!  Why didn’t I think of muppets??!!”.  The spectacle was more than just a nod to Elton John’s Crocodile Rock performance on The Muppet Show in 1977.  Dressed in an outfit almost identical to Sir Elton’s, Cee Lo graciously provided viewers with a punchbowl of puppeteered playtime.  Feathers and felt were everywhere.

The performance made me so happy that it inspired me to go back and revisit some of the most iconic musical collaborations to feature muppets.  I discovered so many that I felt it only right to share the videos in a little countdown collection.
